Wisteria

Our wisteria is blooming for the first time, this year.

When we moved into this house over 3 years ago, I think my husband wanted to dig up and throw away this ugly stump on the patio. But my philosophy of plants at new houses is to let them all grow for a full year, to see what they're up to. When I realized this was actually a wisteria, AND already established on the patio, I was thrilled!
It's next to a pole support for our carport, and it spreads out over its roof. In high winds and storms, the whole plant will sometimes blow off the roof and land on the patio, but we just throw it back up there.

I wondered if it would ever bloom, and finally it has!
