I ran across this today: “No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace, as I have seen in one autumnal face.” ---John Donne and thought of our love of Autumn!
That looks like the same type of spider that loves our red raspberry patch. We call them Golden Orbs. That isn't something I looked up and know it is correct, but it is the name I have heard for them....

Our farrier once told me the "old folks" called them good news spiders. He couldn't explain why.

Julia named her Bella :) We noticed today that she is gone. Perhaps gone to have babies? Shiver!!!
