Signs of Spring
When the trees begin doing this, I feel safe to commit my heart to springtime.
My neighbor has a lovely patch of pansies planted where some old pine trunks were removed.
This very moment, the ornamental pear trees are bursting in clouds of white.
The prettiest place by far for pear trees is Fulcher's Horse Farm, near Oriental.
Isn't it stunning?
It really looks like something from a movie set. Tara? The Ponderosa?
I've shared these trees before in the autumn when they turn vibrant purple/red.

Wow! Your photos were breath taking! Such beauty you ate surrounded with.
Spring is surely here as we had a bear in our yard yesterday. I think it was his first day out of the den as he was quite slow.
It's good to visit with you as I've been away for awhile.

Your blog is looking very pretty. I think spring is a bit more advanced in your part of the world.
Ahhh. Simply beautiful. My daffodils (jonquils? not sure) are blooming. And I bought four new baby chicks on Thursday. Charlene, Lydia, Emma, and Mary Grace are currently residing in a big tub with a gentle infrared brooder lamp in my laundry room. At six weeks of age they'll be transferred to their new coop. For me that's truly a sign of spring. New life. (The babies were all named after characters in The Andy Griffith Show as are all the others, including the donkeys.)
It's looking good! I can't wait for blossoms! The Neuse looks pretty, too. I hope you had a good weekend, MK.
