I'm making soap:
lavender oatmeal, lavender, lemongrass poppyseed |
Adam is testing whether I like a diet of collard greens and sweet potatoes, for future reference. The sausage, which is not in the long-term plans, came from Piggly Wiggly:
Adam finished tilling a 1/4 acre wheat field. He'll plant a blend of four non-GMO, heirloom wheat types:
The puppies are having loads of fun outside for hours while Adam works:
Not every meal is meatless, but even a little steak is pretty rare (haha!) around here:
We continue to make little pieces of progress on the house too, like installing the kitchen overhead light, painting the living room, and getting our last inspection. I think we're finally settling in.
Be sure to click over, and subscribe or follow the farm blog. When I'm not over here, I'm probably over there.

I cannot remember the last time I had steak but the fried squash and onions for supper tonight were wonderful! Have you ever made sweet potato fritters? Delish!
The soap looks great...nothing beats hand made soap.
I love the soap! I put the farm blog on my roll so I won't miss posts anymore.
Wow! You guys are farmers! Yay! Aw, the pups look very cute!
I keep forgetting to add your new blog to my list -- will do so now.
Mmm, I love sweet potatoes! For our dinner we had Soya and mozzarella burgers with a corn cob and then oven-roasted veg- potatoes, broccoli, red bell peppers, shallots, garlic, carrots, courgettes, Aubergine. Twas nice!x
How long did that take Adam!??!?x
I used to have two blogs. One for family, one for art. But it got to be a chore trying to post to both. So, I combined them and put it all on my art blog, which is now a "all of my life in one place" blog. I still have a link on the sidebar to my old blog because you don't want to lose those old posts! Both of your blogs are on my roll. I'm enjoying the continuing saga! :)
I need to add Red Robin Farm to my blogroll too. Sounds like things are really coming along. I like your soaps!
Homemade soap is wonderful, so much better than store bought.
I am so enjoying your farm blog and all that is going on there.
Have a great week ~ FlowerLady
