Your Christmas Cactus is pretty. I had to get rid of mine because it had become so huge that it took way too much space considering it only bloomed for 2 or 3 weeks of the year. Seeing yours makes me want to get a small one and start again. It's really nice that you're posting every day. Are you planning on continuing right through Advent?
GM - Yes, I really want to post each day in Advent. I'd forgotten I did this last year, just a simple post. We'll see if I stick with it! :) The Christmas cacti are pretty in the stores. They even had lovely small ones with white blooms in the grocery store yesterday! You should go get one.
That is exactly what happened to me, GM! I gave away my giant one, but I have several smaller ones started from it in two batches. I plan to give most of them away but I think I will keep one for myself and start small again, as you say. It is so heartening when they bloom in the dead of winter. :-)

I love the blooms- it was as if they were painted just for Advent :)

I agree :) I always felt they were rather ugly plants, but in December ... wow!!!
LOVELY! I have never had a Christmas cactus and I've yet to pot my Christmas bulb.
Beautiful!
