Most of the fabric is plain, off-white muslin. There's also an under-skirt of tulle. I put lace around the sleeves waist and neck. The bottom is edged with piping; I think I was on a piping trend then. I didn't use a pattern; I just measured her. Thus, there are numerous mistakes, but hey, it was for dress-up.

I wanted it to have a "train" effect, so I bunched up some more of that tulle and put it on the back. It does have a zipper. That gold fabric was a little tricky to work with.

I made the train removable with velcro. Not exactly sure why, but I guess I thought it would be cool :)

I think it's very pretty. I always wished I had a mom who could sew and make me neat costumes. :)
