On the way to a friend's house on Monday, I decided to take a slightly-longer but much-more-beautiful route. The two-lane road meanders through fields and then snuggles down next to this stream.
Around some curves, you suddenly catch a view of sparkling water tumbling over clusters of rocks. The late-summer greenery droops toward the water.
People along this road sometimes have access to their properties only by way of wooden bridges, barely a car's width wide.
I think they're lovely. As I'm skimming along the road to my appointment, I'm wishing I could stop and walk across, and find whatever is on the other side.

Ahhhh, what a lovely drive. Definitely looks like a place for a long walk.
