Soil, Seed, Water

"The LORD God formed man of dust from the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."

"The sower went out to sow, and as he sowed,
some seeds fell beside the road ...
and others fell upon the rocky places ...
and others fell among the thorns ...
and others fell on the good soil and yielded a crop."

"Putting away all filthiness and all wicked malice,
in humility receive the word implanted,
which is able to save your souls."

"Sow with a view to righteousness,
reap in accordance with kindness.
Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD
until He comes to rain righteousness on you."

"The seed that later bears righteousness
is sown in peace by those who make peace."

"The one on whom seed was sown into good soil,
this is the person who hears the word and understands it."

"The one who sows the good seed is Jesus,
and the field is the world,
and the good seed he sows are the sons of God's kingdom."

"Wait patiently, brothers, until the Lord comes.
Look, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil,
being patient about it, until it gets both
the early and late rains."

(All the above are Scripture passages.)

A humble heart is the best soil.
The seed is God's Word, spread abroad to everyone.
The rain that nourishes it is God's righteousness.
Peacefully, kindly, patiently we wait for the harvest.
