blades of glass,
Each one searching
that companion shard
to slip gingerly into,
Your cutting edges and mine
puzzle-fitting so that barely
a crack is visible.
We will not pierce,
puncture, or pain,
my hurting points into you,
yours into me.
I caress your razor edges, dear.
You embrace mine.
