Tea Sympathy

The friendly kettle boils the water
Only as the flames grow hotter.
"It sings!" we say, but we are wrong,
For screaming best describes its song.
And while we sip our humble brew,
Who amongst us says, "Thank you,"
Unto the kettle, singed below,
Who waits again, the flames to know.

I loved this!!
Very, very cute in deed. :}

Dear friend,I have been playing catch up and certainly have enjoyed seeing what you have been up to, especially on the farm.
You guys are always so very busy, quite amazing!
Your gardens are such an inspiration. I have shared them with my husband as he enjoys the vegetable garden while I enjoy the flower gardens.
He has had some serous vole problems this year, they are attacking the potatoes and carrots. :{
We've had some good rain this past week, very much needed and our colors are beginning to change. Not sure I'm ready yet, but there's nothing we can do to stop the seasons.
Winter is my favorite session, so I embrace it thankfully. :}

Always a joy to visit with you~

my grandkids say our tea kettle "screams" -- "it is screaming again Nona" "the kettle is screaming at you Grampsy". Very appropriate

How would we manage to get through our days without tea?

Oh, poor, scalded kettle. Singing singed for me...

Your teapot reminds me of the little song we sang as kids.
I'm a little teapot short and stout.
Here is my handle and here is my spout.
When I get all steamed up, hear me shout.
Just tip me over and pour me out.
