Word of the day:

declivitous

Doesn't it sound nice - it clicks on the tongue. Depending on one's inflection, it could mean anything!

However, it means "steep."

In medieval chant, notes can be grouped together in 2 or 3 note neumes. They're sort of ligated. A 2note descending neume is called a clivus.
