I love the beach. I'm peaceful at the beach. Call me silly, but I know a lot of people are the same. I couldn't spend as much time as I wanted on the beach during this trip because I was under the weather. But this morning I was a little better, and the wind was low, so we went walking again.
This is my favorite beach photo I took this trip:
These are my shells:
I found this interesting -- a leaf with a bird feather plastered into it, washed up from the ocean.
In other words, something grown from the deep soil in a forest, meshed with something that flew in the sky, found in the ocean. I like that.
In addition to two very large salads (spinach, romaine, cherry tomatoes, pecans, dried cranberries, avocados, sunflower seeds, cucumber, feta cheese, green onions, homemade croutons, and Adam's yummy strawberry vinaigrette), I took this delicious Chicken Divan. Adam had to make this for me too because I ran out of time before I left. It's my mother's awesome recipe, found here.
Here's where we stayed, a cottage called Pooh and Piglet's Place.
Until next year, Topsail.

Beautiful. I can hear the waves.
These lovely photos made me long for the beach! I especially love the Outer Banks, and I usually go every year in late spring. Now I really can't wait!
What beautiful treasures wash up on the shore! I love the name of your cottage! Nice photos!
Lovely scenery. I enjoy walking on the beach, but I'm not much into swimming at the beach. I've never been a strong swimmer, and our surf is a bit rugged for someone who doesn't swim well. Sorry to hear you weren't well. You were looking forward to that trip.
Oh sigh....I loved your beach shots, made me wish I was there too.
Nice collection of shells.
While you walk on a beach I walk in a winter wonderland.
