Goin' Fishin'

While at Salter Path and Emerald Isle, Adam and I took a stroll down the Bogue Inlet Pier.
I prevented sunburn for three entire days at the beach, with that hat.
The pier has benches and sheltered seats all along.
Serious fishermen bring along quite a kit and have season passes to fish.
Below the pier on either side, sunbathers enjoy a large swath of sand.
At the end of the pier is a raised platform with a grand view.
A few rules guide those who venture out. You can drink, but it had better be OUR drink!
Splinters galore
The far end of the pier is for King fishing only.
Looking back as the waves roll in ~
We don't fish, but a stroll down the pier is a nice way to kill a half hour with a handsome fella.

I very much approve of the hat. Do they catch many Kings thereabouts?

I don't fish either. I love to eat fish though! Maybe if you were in the right place at the right time, a generous fisherman would give you a cleaned fish, all ready for the grill!

That drinkin' sign made me smile!

Pretty spot. I don't fish, but my husband does. I just like the sights and smells in places like this!
