Autumn Journaling, Sept. 28th

I'm back in my quiet art/craft room, journaling and listening to Pandora classical guitar. Today, I'm painting. It is the most calming thing I can do, combined with cups of tea and guitar music. Here's what's in the journal today:

I like both the pumpkin and the leaf. They turned out well. I still debate about outlining in black, but for now I'll leave them unmolested by ink.
I also wrote a quick page about today's activities:
I adjusted the idea shared by Marcie at The Quiet Country House. She made columns, but I did boxes for today. She had different categories, but I liked these four: Inside, Outside, Myself, Others. So -- What we did inside the house, what we did outside the house, what's going on inside my head, and what we did for others. It's only 3:20 now, so the day's not done, but it was helpful to write it down.
Update: Sept. 30th now. Here's some nice, relaxing watercoloring I've been adding to my journal this weekend:

If you're doing a journal, how's it going?

Sounds like a relaxing and peaceful day. I got to cleaning out my side of the garage so it would be ready to park the Jeep in when the bad weather arrives. I also did a lot of online research about some mechanical problems we have with the other Jeep. We are trying to save it for another year. Have a great night.

Nice pumpkin and leaf, I think my journal will be more along the lines of collage/multi-media ( I think that's what it would be called). I've done a few pages and must get them posted ASAP.

I'm a little envious of you gals doing your autumn journals. I just feel like I have so many little art/writing projects going and I keep dropping the ball already. So, I hesitate to add one more. Someday I need to pare down my creative piles and really concentrate on a few things. The guitar music sounds lovely! And it's a good time for chamomile tea. I just bought some Sleepy Time. ;)

You have a lovely pumpkin there and captured it's texture and colour really well. I love this journal idea although I have some catching up to do to finish mine!

MK, Love your pumpkin and leaf, and appreciate your four catagories! I chaned the "random thoughts" heading to "gratitude" for my second page.

This was very calming to read. As to Facebook....I have it turned off. Have it set just for family and church members now. Even so, wearing.

Your quiet spot in your house makes me so happy for you. I need one of those!

Your teacup and your pumpkin bless me so much! It is just so lovely that painting is relaxing and therapeutic for you. I think cooking used to be like that for me... now I wonder what it would be?
