Happy Birthday, Pat!

Last night we had a birthday party for one of the nicest gals I know. Pat celebrated yet another year of being young-at-heart, and Kip gathered us all (with our menfolk) at her table for a fun evening and a fabulous dinner.
As we call ourselves -- the Fabulous Five
Kip's dining room says Pure Elegance. (I mean ... seriously ... how many people have a stained glass door in their dining rooms?)
Her kitchen, however, indicates how much fun she likes to have :)
We began with a selection of hors d'oeuvres, including jumbo local shrimp.
Adam made baguettes. After this, I forgot to take photos of the food, until dessert time. But the tender filet mignon and the perfectly-baked-potatoes were both melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
My pretty friend, Jan.
Kip bakes every week for the farmers' market; one of her specialties is cheesecake. Pat requested amaretto cheesecake (on grandma's antique dishes):
It was so good.
I can't tell you how adorable my friends are. Here Pat is thrilled with her birthday cheesecake and our singing to her.
Pat is the oldest in our group, and she truly takes care of those she loves, which includes us! She's a dear.
As night darkened, some sat around the table chatting.
Thank you, girls! You're the best!

What fun! And what blessings y'all share! I loved that stained glass in the dining room. Perfect with that neon penguin in the kitchen, of course.
