Last Beach Post ... I Promise!

I have a few more beach photos I need to put somewhere, so I can find and enjoy them later. So, here goes ....
Wednesday evening sunset
See the sun dogs?
Patty loves playing this colorful version of Sudoku,
but unfortunately we put a bowl of peanut M&Ms on the table too.
Of course, she chomped down on a wooden game ball!
Christine did the matchy toga thing with her crazy pants.
Whatdya get when you put Christine and Pat in the kitchen together?
Some awesome food!
They whipped up some darling little freezy beverages with gummy
watermelons on top! Plus sprinkles!

Muffin got a bone.
We returned to the beach Wednesday night for Pat to have a quiet time of memory for her best friend who died last year, Renee. She read a poem she wrote for Renee, and we tossed seashells into the surf for her.

 Crazy girls. I love 'em.
I can't say it ever did really warm up on Topsail Beach last week.
North Topsail looks pretty much like this, for blocks and blocks.
Finally on Thursday about noon, it was almost warm enough to sit out on the deck comfortably.

Christine and I took our shoes off at the beach. The sand was warm.
The water? Not so much. Brrrr! Frozen toesies.
We finally saw the machinery working in the sand.
I think they were removing the big, unwelcome rocks from the beach.
That's what it looks and sounded like.
Good-bye Topsail! We miss you already!

A toe ring? Cool! I've thought about one, that's as far as I got. I think DH would have liked that.

It definitely looks cold!!! I'm glad you had a good time with friends.

Have a great week ~ FlowerLady
