Tammy's Cream Cheese Biscuit Rolls

This simple recipe comes from my cousin Tammy. I saw her pictures of it on facebook, and just HAD to give it a try!

It begins with biscuit dough, pressed out in a pan. I put parchment paper under my dough, b/c it was moist. Tammy used store biscuits in tins, which she popped out. I decided to make my own biscuit dough. Choose the one that works for you. Then spread a package of softened cream cheese over the dough.
Next, sprinkle on a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon. I guess I used about 1/2 - 3/4 cup of brown sugar, with about a tsp. of cinnamon. I wanted less sweet taste, more cheese. Adjust to suit your preference. Then sprinkle some chocolate chips on top, if you like. Again, I didn't want dominating chocolate flavor, so I used only a few.
My dough was moist, as I said, so the parchment paper was very useful in rolling it up, like a jelly roll. Next time, I would press it out thinner, so it would have more rotations.
Slice them up, put them gently in a buttered casserole, and bake for about 30 minutes at 350-375.
Glaze frosting: confectioner's sugar with a bit of milk in it. I also added a couple tablespoons of maple syrup for deeper flavor.

Is this the best sweet roll recipe I've ever tasted? Maybe not, but it's mighty good -- AND it has one thing going for it that will keep it at the top of my list: NO RISING TIME. And when you want something warm and delicious in the morning, this is the ticket!

Belle - yes, I've seen that movie. It's my most-recently-seen, and one (miraculously) that both my hubby and I loved. I wish I had a recipe blog, but I think it would kill me to cook up a storm EVERY day :) Thanks!
