Yarn in Winter

A large basket of half-used skeins of yarn turned into a warm, winter throw. None of the skeins were large enough to make even a pair of smittens with. But together they pack a colorful punch!
This throw is about 3 feet x 5 feet.
It was fun to crochet again, and I got to practice my color-transitioning skills, and my keep-the-edge-even skills, much harder in crochet than in knit.
Afterward, this is my little pile of leftovers, some only inches long:
Note Julia's grammar book and my grade book, under the yarn.
Yes, we've started school for the semester, just today.
Then I made a nice headband for a lady from the market who asked for one in a pretty blue.
The next big project will be another stripey blanket like I did last winter. This one will be a gift for someone else.

Very pretty. I always think it is very gratifying to make something beautiful with scraps.

That was a very productive stash-busting project. I saw a lady today wearing a black headband similar to your blue one. It looked very snug on her ears. I might add one to my to-do list.
