A Blue Ribbon Scarf

I used to call this a waterfall scarf because of its lovely drape. It's not made of yarn really; it's made of ribbon -- ribbon you buy on a spool at a yarn store. Julia models:
It wears more like a piece of jewelry and has such a sheen! Here's a close-up:
I knit these scarves on massive wooden needles. Somebody gave them to me years ago. They are literally as big around as my thumb.
I'm making six of this type of scarf for a friend, for family Christmas gifts, so I need to get hopping.
One down ... five to go! I need more yarn ribbon!
(This blue silver ribbon yarn is Italian, made by Laine du Nord.)
