Bloomin' December

We've had unusual blooming practices in town lately! We've had a surge of warm weather (after some pretty chilly stuff!) Julia took this picture of a rose next to our driveway -- a rose in December! Makes me want to sing, "Lo! How a Rose E'er Blooming."

And the camellias are a bit early; I usually think of them in January. This one in our front yard is always such a blessing this time of year.

I'll add that we've had many azaleas in town go through a second blooming cycle recently. They are clearly confused. Where else but in the climate-confused South can you have roses, camellias and azaleas blooming simultaneously?
