The Pitter Patter of Puppy Paws!

Yesterday, rather unexpectedly, we acquired a new family member.
His name is Beau. He belonged to some good friends of ours. They love him dearly, but they live aboard their boat and cruise most of the time (even out on the ocean). The poor baby boy could not tolerate even the rocking of the boat in the slip; he got sick, and for a tiny baby that's not good all the time. So they asked us if we'd like to have him. And ... of course ... we said, "YES!!!"
We felt so sad for them, parting with such a little doll. He's sweet, smart, energetic, lovey and cuddly. His name was Row before, but I just felt like I wanted him to be Beau. Sometimes we call him Beau-Row :)
Beau, early this morning, cuddling on mama's lap
We have a house full of company right now, so last night he slept (all night long!) in his kennel in our bedroom, very content. He's happy here and especially enjoys Sandy. They're already buddies and play together. I think it helps that they're opposite gender, so there's no competition going on. Welcome, Beau! He will be a mama's boy, by the way. Sandy is definitely a daddy's girl. Now we each have our own lap doggie.

I love Poms! Our daughter has one (did you get the text message with the picture?) and she is a precious little puff ball!
Beau is SO cute! Congratulations!
