Pasta Primavera
To compensate for the indifferent peanut butter cookies, and to comfort me after a L O N G day of shopping in town, Adam made this yummy dish for supper last night -- Pasta Primavera:
The sauce is so easy. Melt a stick of butter and 1/4 cup of olive oil in your skillet/pan. Then put in some chopped garlic. When you can smell the garlic cooking, add your veggies. You can see what we used, but pick whatever looks good in the market. The tomatoes were a wonderful burst of flavor. Simmer them. Then, when your pasta is cooked, add about 1/2 cup of cream to the veggie/sauce mix. Simmer a bit more, and serve with the pasta. Use whatever type of pasta you like; this is bowtie, but any kind of spaghetti would be nice too.
Whenever Adam makes something yummy, Grandmother nabs herself a bowl for a sneaky-snack. Can you tell from Adam's hands that he's been doing car work too? I promise, he did wash them three times before he cooked for us :)
