Nothing New

Hello, friends. After the wonderful "Grow Your Blog" party, I found I'd added a host of new, fun blogs to my feed reader. Yay! I added over thirty new followers to my blog, and I probably added at least that many to my own reading list.

The result is that I'm overwhelmed with new reading, and not enough time to read and comment on all these new blogs. There are others that I'd like to read, but simply can't. I apologize if I simply don't get around to all of them, or don't comment, or don't reply to comments left here. I'll email you in reply (if your email is provided), or I'll try to leave an occasional reply here under your comment.
Bo-Beau, our dear
I have no new photos to post, nothing new to relate except the usual ... homeschooling goes well, Adam cooks, company for dinner tonight, snow this morning. Wait ... did I say snow this morning? Why, yes! We had two inches of snow. It's nearly melted now.

So I'll post some old pics of last spring, summer and fall. Soon our temps will warm, the soil will burst with bulbs, and life will change again.
my big fern, last fall
Blooms at Tryon Palace last fall
My mother's fresh peach pie last summer
Warm summer blooms at a friend's home last summer
Adam's bees last summer -- soon he hopes to move them
here to our new home.
We're watching the 2014 Winter Olympics opening ceremony right now. They're worth watching, if you read this before tonight. Russians know how to do ceremony and pomp, as we all know! And ballet -- expect some ballet, and beautiful ballet at that :)

So glad to have met you through the blog party, M.K.! We must watch the opening ceremonies- thanks for reminding me. My daughter learned some Russian while dancing with the Moscow ballet so she'll be particularly interested.:) Lori

Mmmmm. I'd like a piece of pie, too. I hope the bees work out.

You know, I had totally forgotten about the Olympics. I only watch two or three channels!
It's easy for this blog thing to get overwhelming. I really have to make myself pare things down so my blog list stays manageable and I visit a few people whose lives I've come to care about. I mean, there must be MILLIONS of blogs out there. We can't possibly begin to scratch the surface. Take it easy, girl! :)

Thanks for the good encouragement, Lisa. I need to weed through my blog list and figure out which ones to keep, and it's hard! Like you, I have some I've been reading for a long time, but there are SO many good, interesting blogs out there. But it's not good stressing about it :)

I know what you mean about having the time to read all the blogs- BUT, there are certain ones that I care about (like the reader above mentions) and you always make a point of reading those! x

Wow you gain quite a few new followers through the blog party. I gained some new faces too and yes at times it is hard to make it around to everyone's blogs to comment. I try but there are times when I'm not able to as well. It's great when you can though. - Have a wonderful week. Your little dog is so cute!
