Spreadable Sun

I'd forgotten how much better homemade strawberry jam is, than anything you buy at the store. Silly me.

Yesterday, I made four more pints. Eight in all. Aldi still has loads of good-smelling fruit, for 99¢ a quart - what a temptation to make more!

It bubbles and bursts in the pot, its aroma filling the house. Seven cups of boiling sugar.
