"Art on the Neuse"

Today is "Art on the Neuse" in Oriental. The Neuse River is the water the town borders. And boy, is there a lot of art around! The local Arts Council set up this event. Artist/vendors set up their tents and we all enjoyed their beautiful talents.
Here's a shop with some fun metal art out front.
This is "The Bean," the local watering hole. Everybody is at The Bean. They sell coffee, ice cream and bagels. See all the bikes? Everybody rides bikes here. I really need a bike.
 The weather was wonderfully cooperative!
The art festival was set up on the grounds of the Oriental Marina and Inn. This is their deck, and music groups performed light, pleasant music all day.
And a Tiki Bar! Allison, this is for you -- your roof is much better than this! And you have cuter decor. You and Arnold need to give lessons in Tiki Bar production :)
I sat in the green chair and talked with a couple -- so friendly. All of Oriental is so friendly!

I tried deliberately not to photograph any individual art piece, because artists are a little sensitive about their unique creations being plastered on the internet. That's reasonable.
Adam's making me a thin cheese pizza for supper, but first I get bread sticks/dip in mid-afternoon. Yippee!

I do hope you get a bike to tool around in and get to know your new friends!

It's been a while since I've been in your part of the world but it's still as lovely as ever. The art fest looks like a great time.
