Oriental Farmer's Market

Today was my debut at the farmer's market. I took my homemade soap (4 varieties) and my crocheted cloths.

This is where I spent my morning, with Julia sometimes as company. I sold $30 of soap, and $6 of the dish cloths. A good morning! Plus, I had lots of fun.

Here's the rest of the farmer's market. It's a small operation, in a small town, and everybody knows everybody.

This is Jack. He likes lying in the road. This is an indication that you are in an authentic Small Town. Julia was worried about him, but I told her that Jack looked like he knew what he was doing.

Oriental is such a DOG TOWN. Everyone has a dog or three. And I think all the dog people came to the market today!

Here's Nancy (in blue) and her mom. Nancy sold her sarongs and some jewelry. She's a doll! All her sales went to charity, and boy, did she do a thriving business!

This is her dog, Missy.

And her other dog, a darling boy, but I didn't catch his name. He's gorgeous.

We've noticed this wonderful vehicle on the streets. Isn't it beautiful? It's a jaguar.

This is the fresh seafood market building, open only on Fridays and Saturdays. Love the decor.

And, if I glanced over my right shoulder, this is what greeted me. A harbor. Does it get any better than this?

One lady I talked to said she felt like she was on vacation for the first two years she lived here. Two years! Then, at last, it felt like home.

What a lovely world this is, your new home. And you seem to be appreciating it to the max! Glory to God for soap and dogs and good neighbors.
